It was a cross-sectional study comprising of 200 school going students of both genders, in the age range of 16-20 years, equally from rural and urban background. Youth problem inventory was administered on students. The data obtained was analysed by two way Analyses of variance. Results revealed significant difference between rural and urban participants in different domains of youth problems. Significant gender difference was also observed in the domain of personal and family problems. The findings highlight the need of special prevention and intervention programmes for such adolescents.
