Abstract:

An attempt has been made to assess the direction and magnitude of experiential crowding in terms of Home, Traffic, Social Gatherings and Friends Circle. In order to investigate the differentials in the level of experiential crowding, owing to variations in age and gender, the items were selected for the purpose of assessing the exposure of the individual to stressful crowding in everyday life situations. However, the standardisation process was restricted to the adolescent population, on a sample of 577 school and college going students. The obtained data was treated to various statistical techniques required for standardisation .
