Abstract:

Bangladesh is the land of diverse ethnic, religious and linguistic societies. Along with the mainstream people, there are about 46different ethnic minority groups of people live here. Among the ethnic minorities, the Garo is one of the major tribalcommunities. Ethnic people bring a diversification in life and society of Bangladesh. Socioeconomic and cultural diversitiesalong with their different living environment make indigenous people unique from mainstream population of the country. Theiruniqueness of these areas are the main causes of their lagging behind in education too. The present study revealed the challengesof primary education in Garo community in Bangladesh.
