A Comparative Study of Stress Level Among Undergraduate Students

The concept of stress was first used in life sciences by Han Selye in 1936. Stress defined it by referring to a set of circumstances in which an individual could not respond adequately or instrumentally to environmental stimuli or could respond only at the cost of excessive wear and tear on the organism, for example, chronic fatigue, tension, worry, physical damage, nervous- breakdown, or loss of self-esteem. Stress is a relational concept, and involved factors in the environment combined with individual factors.
